Louise Bentham comes from New South Wales in Australia and is married to Peter, who is a psychiatrist and Yorkshireman. They have three children:

- Matthew
- Jonathan
- Sarah

Louise moved to England in 1984. She trained as a nurse in Australia, before moving to England where she trained as a group worker and worked as a community psychiatric nurse.

The family moved to Astwood Bank in 1997.

She currently works as a research nurse at the Universtity of Birmingham.

Louise´s main interests are:
- Playing with her children, card games and board games, computer games. She also plays a range of musical instruments, such as keyboard, violin and guitar.
- The Multi Cultural Group
- Weight training/step training (when she gets time!)
